What We Do
Watercat supports collaborative watershed planning and multi-purpose water project
development by providing an array of water resources planning and policy services including:
- education and outreach: Watercat develops programs and materials on innovative
water and water related resource management approaches to support water planning
efforts

- surveys and benchmarking studies: Watercat performs review and analysis of
alternative technical and policy mechanisms through surveys and benchmarking
studies, comparative studies and assessments, and the development of “model”
approaches

- decision support and analysis: Watercat develops measurement metrics and
decision support tools which incorporate local and expert knowledge and spatial
analysis, and performs multi-criteria decision analyses which incorporate consideration
of benefits, costs, and risks
