ABOUT WATERCAT

Watercat Consulting LLC (Watercat) is an
international 100% woman-owned practice
created to serve as a catalyst for innovative
approaches to sustainable water resources policy
and management.  

While political leadership and society as a whole
have moved towards a greater commitment to
more "green" and "sustainable" management of
water and other natural resources, and while new
technologies and management approaches are
being developed, efforts to incorporate innovative
approaches to water management and policy
often "get stuck" due to issues with planning,
permitting, programmatic missions, public
perception, and policymaker perception.

Founded in 2007, Watercat offers an innovative blend of policy analysis, understanding of
science and technology, and communication and education programs to bring together
communities around safe, affordable, sustainable water management solutions.

Our team offers expertise in hydrogeology and hydrology, water resources engineering,
planning and systems analysis, policy development and implementation, educational
program development and implementation.

Headquartered on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, Watercat works primarily with mission-
driven clients, such as:

  • federal, state/provincial, and local government agencies;

  • associations, institutes, universities, community and watershed groups, and other
    not-for-profit organizations;

  • sustainability initiatives within for-profit corporations.

Watercat supports clients in their efforts to incorporate innovative solutions to sustainable
water management of water resources in accordance with their organizational missions,
and works to bring together multiple organization in efforts to work collaboratively on
development and implementation on water management approaches and policies.

Watercat is not a lobbying firm but provides policy review and technical background on
water-related policy and management approaches to policymakers upon request.

Watercat is a 100% woman-owned small business and is eligible for contracting under the
Federal Women’s Procurement Program.
